Bursting out of a speculative bubble, or the art of taking the shortcut.Year 2000 Problem
The millennium prophecy fiction, which had been given so much multimedia coverage throughout the '90ies, finally fulfilled itself in June 2000, while I was in Munich, in a more than unexpected fashion for as far as I suddenly felt the only one concerned: I experienced a cognitive Y2K bug, when, after years of forging ahead with an uneasy feeling of fire closing in, the doors of perception suddenly slammed behind me, leaving me in an awesome state of independence. As if I had just (been) rushed into the "27 Club", survivors' office, without even knowing of its existence.This the kind of situation where you feel grateful you saw it coming...somehow…when you suddenly feel self-empowered with the right toolbox to handle the impossible. The layers of multimedia contents horded during the last five years (pertaining to organizational culture, project and knowledge management, strategic consulting), which my preconscious self-awareness had just reshuffled into a knowledge engineering formula, finally opened the way to cure: along the spectrum from professional translator to consultant in professional practices, I was both the patient and the therapist, the solution to my own problem.
Four years after my debut in the field of "international nebulae management", I finally found all the inspiration in the world to get myself out of there...
