Lifefolio V3.7/2024

As an independent web entrepreneur concerned with the integrity of her system (i.e. the conceptual waterproofness thereof), I needed a simple and flexible solution to develop my web project communications, i.e. a web service which would be operational without the need to install third-party apps and other extensions of the type to multiply interfaces.

First set of questions to be answered: what is the advantage of a click-to-publish solution (using a web design app installed on your hard-drive) over an entirely web-based solution (where the publication occurs over a direct connection to an external web service from within your browser)? In the first case, what is the difference between shared and dedicated hosting? In either case, what is the point with a Cloud, since it announces nothing but bad weather?!?

It all depends on the purpose of your project, meaning, on the kind of solution that you intend to develop with a view to solving a specific problem. Which brings us to the next question: is your capital intangible (i.e. are you a knowledge worker for example?), or tangible (do you sell material goods? The latter would be the case if you were the holder of a B&B renting rooms, or the manager of a restaurant selling meals).

After a concept analysis of the various web hosting solutions available, I started with Jimdo (v1.0 and 1.1/2013, web-based CMS approach), and quickly moved over to RapidWeaver (v1.2/2013, click-to-publish application), for reasons which the present work-in-progress showcase is designed to make self-explaining!

Now that the project information website pertaining to my audit program 2013 is available, I will be able to focus on the validation of the "beta 2" of my own Enterprise Knowledge System, and on the publication of the online access thereto.

Let us flash forward a few months from now...until then, my Blogfolio will keep you posted...here we go! My virtual incubation service is operational, and so are you.
