Considering that my nationality endowed me with a strong sense of belonging, as a French citizen, to an European intellectual property framework, the legitimacy problem was - in the end - a real non-issue. Yet this is what remained to be demonstrated to those anonymous sectarian detractors of principle, who were turning so eager to nitpick about whatever they could find to justify their harassment.
