On the Agenda
The crossing of teenage, with the doubts, certainties, hopes, and frustrations that define this life stage.Children of the Matrix
My '80ies are the years of my arrival and installation in France, of childhood passing through into teenage and the latter into early adulthood, but first and foremost, of a meteoric expansion of my cognitive universe, due in part to my first and second-language acquisitions, as from 1979 (French) and 1987 (English) respectively.Grimm's fairy tales narrations on vinyl records, which, in my early years, gave our family walks and childhood games through the woods of Saxony such an odd flavor of augmented reality, soon merged with musical vibes, mostly of anglo-saxon origin, whose overwhelming rhythms kept fueling a certain sense of intrigue (all the more so as most of us in Germany and France didn't yet understand the lyrics).
This self-assertive audio bubble fostered a certain selectivity in the memorization process, which, via associative mechanisms, ended up channeling our attention through various visual programs (cartoons, movies, television series, documentaries), depending on what our school agendas had to offer or not.
This is what defines us as children of the matrix.
